Privacy
Jeevan Lekha is built on a simple bargain: you tell it your story, and it keeps that story for you alone. This page says, in plain language, exactly what is stored, what will never be done with it, and the controls you hold. The short version: your record is yours — export it anytime, delete it anytime.
What is stored, and why
- Birth details — date, time, and place, for you and any family profiles you add. These are required to compute the charts. If a birth time is uncertain, that uncertainty is stored too, so readings are not over-claimed.
- Conversations — your counsel thread. This is the continuity the service is built on: the next answer carries the weight of the last.
- Family profiles — charts you add for a spouse, parent, child, or sibling. Each is kept clearly separated and can be deleted on its own at any time.
- Remedial history — the practices you committed to, so reminders arrive on the right mornings and follow-ups make sense.
- WhatsApp contact details — the number you write from, used to deliver the counsel and nothing else.
- Subscription status — whether your plan is active. Payment details are handled by the payment processor, not stored here.
- Minimal operational logs — delivery and error records, kept briefly so the service stays reliable.
That is the whole list. We retain only what the counsel needs to answer the next question.
What is never done
- Your data is never sold.
- Your conversations are never used to advertise to you.
- Your conversations are never used to train public models — what you share stays inside your counsel.
- Your family profiles are never shared with anyone.
Your controls
Each of these is available by asking, in plain words, inside your thread:

Retention and cancellation
If you cancel, your record is kept so you can export it or return to it. Ask, and it is erased entirely. There is no winding-down fee and no lock-in: if you come back, you choose whether to resume the old ledger or begin fresh.
